Hammam was born and raised in Egypt where he received his bachelor of science degree in Chemical Engineering from Cairo University. After more than 8 years of intensive volunteering in different Egyptian NGOs, student activities and individual development initiatives, Hammam decided to enter the Field of Sustainable Development and Water Management to make a remarkable difference in that field and improve the well-being of his society.
After that, and in order to advance his career in the field of environmental management which is a crucial part of sustainable development, In 2016, Hammam enrolled in an environmental engineering program from the AUC (American University in Cairo). Also, in 2017, he joined a Master’s degree program in the green process engineering at Cairo University, beside his work as a project coordinator at Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs. Till now, he has finished his first two semesters with a GPA equals 3.9 out of 4.
Currently, Hammam is working as a part-time program manager at BENAA Foundation for the WASH program (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene). Also, he as working as a part-time teaching assistant at the environmental engineering program at Zewail City for Science & Technology and also in the credit hours system at Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University.

On May 13, 2018, I have attended the kick-off meeting for the Cairo Water Week that will be organized next October in Egypt for the first time.
